This 18th century property belonged in the 19th century to Don Pedro Regalado Pedroso y Zayas' family.
He was Knight Commander of the Isabel la Católica Order.
El Comendador, exceptional for its intimacy and the silence that the interior spaces offer, is an excellent inn for retirement and meditation. Resembling the old Mohammedan-Spanish city houses, with its access bent to one of its further side, the place privileged by the proximity of the Plaza de Armas and the Plaza San Francisco, receives the ultra maritime breeze coming from the Havana harbor which can bee seen from the balcony of its magnificent rooms.
The inn has a chophouse named 'Onda' after a region in Spain, which looks like a rustic tavern and offers different variants of the typical Spanish 'Tapas' and exquisite wines.
