Amargura was the street of the processions and the religious retirement
in the XVIII century, when by it, during the lent, passed the procession
of the Via Crucis that left from the Christ’s Church and used to
stop at the intersection with Mercaderes, well-know as the Corner of the
Green Cross, for the stone cross that still exists in the place and that
was an object of adoration.
